Our Aim
- Environmental Conservation: Planted a total of one million trees of a variety of species around the globe, restoring biodiversity where it was previously diminished.
- Community Engagement: Engaged at least 10 thousand community volunteers in tree-planting events and awareness programs to empower people to make a change.
- Climate Change Mitigation: Planted trees across 100,000 acres to contribute to carbon sequestration and create green spaces in over 1 thousand communities globally.
Why Plant a Tree?
An increase in greenhouse gasses such as carbon dioxide has led to global warming and a changing climate, with it more frequent and dangerous natural hazards like wildfires and hurricanes. A single tree sequesters (absorbs) approximately 22 kilograms of carbon dioxide and releases oxygen in its place in one year.
Additionally, a tree combats the treacherous heat we experience by providing much needed shade, keeping you as well as wildlife cool during the hot days. These are only two of the variety of reasons why planting a tree is beneficial.
Sustainability
To ensure the project's longevity, we plan to develop partnerships for ongoing support and explore revenue-generating activities related to tree planting and environmental conservation. These efforts will help maintain and expand the project beyond the initial funding period.
